Did you see the May 2017 CS Journal article re The Mother Church's global mission and a suggestion
on how YOU can participate? "In answer to what human footsteps can be taken to support the Church's global literature
distribution program, anyone can choose to donate to The Mother Church's General Fund via the "Giving" page on christianscience.com.
A link to that page is found at the bottom of the website's home page. They can also email or call The Mother Church
to talk more about how to offer their support. ...We all have a role to play in supporting and recognizing the unfoldment
of Church in the experience of our brothers and sisters."

Our East Rochester church now has an Internet Connection. The
network name and password are posted on the front hall bulletin board. Your board felt that this will be a convenience
for committee meetings as well as for use by Sunday School teachers and their pupils.
And...a new committee
called the Internet Committee has been established to work with a website developer to improve our website.
Any interested member is welcome to join by contacting one of the three current members: Susan Teschke, Pamela Thompson,
Georgia DeGregorio. The next meeting is scheduled for September 6 at 9:00 am in the Sunday School room.
FAREWELL TO COLLEGE BOUND:

Christian Science is an established
worldwide denomination and a deeply committed Christian church whose practice rests upon the inspired teachings of Christ
Jesus and his disciples.
First Church of Christ, Scientist, East
Rochester, NY is one of the many branches of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts.
Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, founded this church in 1879 for the purpose of organizing
a church “designed to commemorate the word and works of our Master [Christ Jesus], which should reinstate primitive
Christianity and its lost element of healing” (Church Manual, p.17).
A spiritual resource for the community,
the Reading Room is open to all for study and prayer. A librarian will be happy to answer your questions,
or to help you find answers in the variety of Bible reference books and Christian Science publications available here.
Also available are Bibles in English and other languages, the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, and current issues of The
Christian Science Monitor, an international weekly newspaper. The Christian Science Journal
includes a world-wide directory of Christian Science churches and societies, reading rooms, Christian Science college organizations,
teachers, practitioners, and nurses.
